Job Description
WelcomeHome Software is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its engineering team. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the SaaS provider builds Customer Relationship Management platforms for the senior living and home care sectors and has grown significantly since launching in 2019. In this role, the engineer will help develop user-friendly software solutions, reporting to the Vice President of Engineering who is located in Las Vegas.
The position is fully remote within the United States. The engineering workflow utilizes technologies such as Ruby on Rails 8, Ruby 3.3, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, and AWS infrastructure managed via Cloud66, alongside AI development tools like Pi, Codex, and Claude Code. The ideal candidate takes ownership, works well collaboratively, and brings strong problem-solving capabilities to product development.
Responsibilities
- Develop user-friendly software solutions as an integral part of the product development team
- Contribute to multiple areas of the business through engineering projects
Requirements
- Have deep experience with Ruby on Rails
- Bring at least 5 years of software engineering experience
- Demonstrate a passion for building high-quality software focused on user experience
- Possess the ability to take ownership and collaborate well with others
- Show a demonstrated ability to work independently to solve problems and propose solutions
- Be based in the United States for this remote position
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a start-up or a growth-stage company
- Experience utilizing Claude Code or comparable AI tools in a daily development workflow
