The company is currently hiring a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Agents to work remotely on its artificial intelligence features, including Rico, an assistant that analyzes subscription data and handles tasks like configuring plans, and an AI Paywall Editor designed to help developers build subscription screens.
This position involves developing advanced agent systems rather than basic wrappers, shaping foundational elements such as orchestration, tool execution, context management, and human-in-the-loop controls. Candidates should enjoy operating autonomously in an early-stage product environment within a growth-stage company, turning ideas into shipped features quickly while collaborating closely with the product team.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship agentic features utilized by thousands of developers
- Shape core foundational elements including orchestration, tool execution, context management, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop controls
- Collaborate with the product team on scoping, prioritizing, and executing rollouts
- Review code, participate in bug bashes, and engage in technical discussions
- Communicate clearly during incidents and drive preventative fixes
- Contribute to architectural discussions and write technical proposals
Requirements
- Eight or more years of experience shipping production systems
- Demonstrated experience building agents and surrounding systems such as tool use, structured output, context management, evaluation, and orchestration
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals with a focus on reliability, observability, and security
- Experience shipping user-facing features to production, tracking their adoption, and refining them over time
- Ability to write clean, thoroughly tested code and debug issues methodically
Qualifications
- Familiarity with subscription business models, app store ecosystems, or developer tools
- Experience working directly with OpenAI or Anthropic APIs
- Familiarity with observability frameworks such as Langfuse or Langchain
- Experience building Slack integrations
- Prior contributions to open source AI or machine learning tooling
- Background maintaining systems at scale
