JumpCloud is seeking a remote Senior Software Engineer focused on Authorization to join its team in India. The company provides an AI-powered unified IT management platform that consolidates identity, device, and access management to secure modern workforces and autonomous AI agents. In this position, you will serve as a driver of quality and velocity across time zones, building scalable and secure services while lowering latency for a global user base. This role is ideal for an experienced programmer who thrives in distributed environments and wants to help shape cloud-native security products.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy secure and scalable services utilizing Go, NodeJS, or Python
- Maintain high code performance to minimize latency for users globally
- Create automated test cases for both legacy systems and new features to reduce regression risks
- Implement CI/CD gates to automatically enforce software quality standards
- Collaborate across multiple time zones with UX and Product Management teams on technical feasibility and requirements
- Establish alerts and runbooks to facilitate zero-downtime distributed deployments
- Contribute to team process improvements by leveraging AI tools for code and test generation
Requirements
- Possess at least 8 years of professional programming experience building complex and scalable software products
- Demonstrate proficiency in Go, NodeJS, or Python
- Show deep familiarity with core IAM and authentication technologies including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and IAM systems
- Bring experience with cloud technologies and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Work effectively in a distributed team utilizing asynchronous communication, written documentation, and strict Definition of Done practices
- Demonstrate technical leadership and organizational skills to guide cross-functional decision-making
- Participate in designated on-call shifts and respond promptly to alerts
- Communicate fluently in written and spoken English, and hold authorization to work in India
