Responsibilities
- Design and build high-throughput backend services, platform APIs, and distributed data stores to support multi-tenant Risk Cloud capabilities
- Write unit, integration, and service-level tests while collaborating with DevOps to manage cloud infrastructure and automated CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor operational metrics and traces to diagnose bottlenecks, enhance database query performance, and maintain platform health
- Lead technical design reviews, break down complex project epics with product and design teams, and mentor other engineers
- Utilize AI coding assistants, LLMs, and developer automation tools to refactor legacy code and accelerate delivery
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise backend systems with Java, Kotlin, or similar JVM languages and Spring Boot
- Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and maintaining high-scale distributed systems and RESTful APIs in an AWS environment
- Practical background with relational or non-no-relational databases, caching systems, and asynchronous message brokers
- Commitment to modern automated testing practices across the testing pyramid
- Experience using modern AI coding tools, LLMs, or agentic workflows to improve engineering output
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative culture with availability for occasional onsites and company events
Qualifications
- Hands-on familiarity with LogicGate specific technology stack including Java, Kotlin, Python, Spring Boot, Neo4j, Redis, RabbitMQ, Docker, Terraform, and GitLab CI
- Knowledge of graph database modeling, event-driven architectures, or multi-tenant SaaS application design
- Full-stack perspective spanning the software development lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices
