Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and evolve backend services and public APIs for customers
- Manage features through their entire lifecycle from initial design to release and iteration
- Draft technical design documentation and articulate architecture plans
- Contribute to product-driven roadmaps with concrete deadlines and iterative shipping goals
Requirements
- At least five years of backend engineering background creating production services and APIs in modern cloud environments
- Familiarity with Go or the readiness to learn and adopt it rapidly
- Demonstrated experience designing and evolving external and internal public APIs handling versioning, auth, and compatibility
- Understanding of microservices, cloud-native architectures, containerization, and Kubernetes observability
- Strong communication abilities to coordinate across product lines with designers, product managers, and peers
Qualifications
- Prior background building shared platform services spanning multiple product lines
- Exposure to the security ecosystem, containers, or CNCF tooling
- Substantial open-source contributions as a maintainer or active participant
