The company combines powerful analytics with business-focused artificial intelligence, allowing organizations to evaluate performance, pinpoint issues, and determine future development priorities. This full-time position sits on a compact, senior-level group responsible for core product offerings such as Experiments, Feature Flags, Session Replay, and Heatmaps.
In this role, the successful candidate will manage technical architecture and feature delivery spanning Python backend services, React user interfaces, and high-volume systems like flag evaluation and replay ingestion. The individual will work alongside Product and Design departments to steer product evolution, while also cooperating with AI Engine and Product Platform teams on shared infrastructure and SDK development. Ideal candidates possess a strong background in production systems engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and technical mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end technical architecture for complex capabilities across backend data models, services, and frontend platforms.
- Make balanced technical choices considering execution speed, quality, financial cost, and product goals while planning contingencies.
- Promote operational excellence, reliability, and observability for production services while proactively addressing technical debt.
- Partner with the AI Engine group to integrate artificial intelligence into experiment design, execution, and analysis workflows.
- Collaborate on software development kits, shared infrastructure, and architectural decisions impacting the wider platform.
- Provide technical mentorship to teammates via pairing sessions, code evaluations, and individual support.
- Act as an escalation contact for intricate software bugs and production incidents within the team domain.
- Assist Support and Solutions Engineering teams with technical inquiries from potential clients and customer escalations.
- Cooperate with Product and Design colleagues to identify and spearhead future initiatives beyond the immediate roadmap.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional software engineering experience demonstrating consistent delivery of quality solutions.
- Demonstrated history of building and operating production systems end to end with accountability for reliability and correctness.
- Expert-level depth in at least one domain covering systems, web, or data infrastructure, coupled with a broad understanding of full-stack design.
- Background in managing technical architecture for intricate projects across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Strong cross-functional teamwork abilities enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders under minimal supervision.
- Sound judgment regarding technological selection, priority setting, and engineering trade-offs.
- Proven experience mentoring fellow engineers and contributing to team development.
- Strong technical communication skills with a history of collaborating within an asynchronous remote environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with React and TypeScript.
- Background using Django and Python.
- Prior involvement building or utilizing experimentation, feature flagging, or session replay solutions.
- Experience constructing high-throughput, low-latency services.
- Exposure to analytics or observability platforms.
- Practical background building with large language models, AI agents, or tool-use frameworks.
- Comfort utilizing artificial intelligence coding assistants such as Cursor or Claude Code in daily workflows.
