The Deployment Infrastructure group is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a full stack background for internal tooling. This professional will focus on designing and advancing the web interface for the build and deployment platform, ensuring internal engineers can safely deliver software to global cloud environments. The role involves bridging frontend systems, distributed infrastructure, and developer experience to establish seamless release paths.
This position suits individuals with deep technical curiosity who excel at creating intuitive user interfaces while maintaining a strong grasp of backend architecture and developer workflows. Responsibilities include building scalable frontend components, establishing clean API boundaries, and participating in an on-call rotation to maintain platform reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and ship features across the entire stack with an emphasis on maintainable and scalable UI components
- Contribute to backend services to deliver comprehensive end-to-end product features
- Establish and enforce clear API boundaries separating frontend and backend architectures
- Collaborate on building systems that support complex deployment workflows, progressive rollouts, and automatic rollbacks
- Translate advanced infrastructure concepts into user-friendly interfaces
- Conduct user interviews and gather feedback from engineers to shape release workflows
- Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing
- Join the team on-call rotation to support platform reliability
Requirements
- Over five years of experience building full-stack applications with strong frontend skills
- Proficiency in modern frontend development and component-based frameworks like React or Lit
- Solid backend background encompassing API design, service boundaries, and system architecture
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, build systems, and progressive delivery technologies
- Experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and Temporal
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for driving alignment and influencing priorities
Qualifications
- Prior background working on developer experience, infrastructure, or platform teams
- Experience building systems for continuous integration, progressive delivery, or internal platforms
- Background conducting user research or collecting feedback from technical users
- Experience implementing UI/UX design directly or using design software like Figma
- Familiarity with backend-adjacent technologies such as Go, gRPC, REST, HTTP, or GraphQL
- Exposure to multi-cluster or multi-region deployment strategies
- Interest in exploring generative AI to enhance developer workflows
