Job Description

TRM Labs builds artificial intelligence intelligence platforms utilized by private and public sector organizations to disrupt and investigate illicit activity. The company enables investigators to trace threat networks, examine cryptocurrency flows, and assemble operational pictures.

As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Graph Analytics, the individual will construct scalable graph systems capable of examining massive cryptocurrency transaction networks across multiple blockchains. The person will partner with investigators, data scientists, and engineers to design mission-critical graph algorithms tracking fund movements. Responsibilities include researching graph-native technology, updating risk scoring models for addresses, translating complex implementation details for various audiences, and integrating diverse inputs ranging from raw blockchain data to model outputs.

The ideal candidate possesses an academic background in a quantitative discipline like mathematics, physics, computer science, or engineering. This position requires strong algorithm design skills, experience with large-scale distributed data processing tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, Dask, or distributed graph databases, and proficiency in Python and SQL. Candidates must be self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of turning academic research into functional products.
