GoodLeap is currently hiring a remote Senior Software Engineer, Payments to design, scale, and manage payment solutions. This position involves building secure, high-performance payment architectures, collaborating with cross-functional groups, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in payment systems, particularly Stripe, and thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and maintain micro-services, APIs, and micro-frontends integrating with Stripe and alternative payment gateways
- Construct compliant, secure, and reliable payment systems emphasizing performance and scalability
- Partner with the product team to interpret business requirements into high-grade solutions
- Participate in the complete software development life cycle, spanning from conception to deployment and testing
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff regarding payments security and development practices
- Monitor developments in the payments industry to introduce fresh concepts to the team
- Identify, debug, and resolve issues promptly to ensure high availability of systems
Requirements
- 5 or more years of full-stack software engineering experience
- Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, NestJS, React, HTML, and CSS
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms including AWS
- Background working with Stripe's API and alternative payment processing systems
- Competency in building secure, scalable, and resilient system architectures
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Proficiency with RESTful APIs and microservices design
- Strong communication capabilities alongside a collaborative attitude
Qualifications
- Prior exposure to the FinTech sector or other heavily regulated industries
