Job Description
MongoDB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Product Security to join its team. In this position, the engineer will create and scale modern security operations to support numerous internal developers in producing protected software for clients.
The Product Security group focuses on integrating security measures early into the development life cycle without adding friction, utilizing tools such as fuzzing infrastructure, threat modeling, AI-powered code analysis, and triage workflows. This opening requires working from the Dublin office through a hybrid schedule while collaborating closely with a distributed group spanning United States time zones.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive production software development proficiency, a solid background in cloud environments, and familiarity with artificial intelligence agents. The person in this role will build and maintain automations, centralize security analytics, and develop tooling that enables self-serve finding management for engineering teams. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain security automations for the organization
- Ship features for an automated code analysis platform
- Scale the security findings triaging and verification platform across all company products
- Build self-serve finding management processes for engineering groups
- Construct a centralized security signal analytics platform to help prioritize critical security tasks
- Design and create tooling to integrate security earlier into the software development life cycle
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of production software development experience using Python and TypeScript in cloud settings
- Background in managing end-to-end development lifecycles, including building, deploying, and running software at scale
- Familiarity with containers, micro-services, and Kubernetes
- Understanding of continuous integration and deployment pipelines, including testing, linting, and deployment strategies
- Capability to independently prioritize and execute assignments following alignment with teammates and stakeholders
- Track record of identifying problems, deploying solutions, and executing complex projects
- Strong understanding of constructing AI agents
- Effective verbal and written technical communication skills
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of security practices such as secure code reviews, threat modeling, and CVEs
- Familiarity with Rust or C++
- Experience designing and operating systems that safely execute untrusted code through least-privilege credentials, network egress controls, and sandbox or container isolation
- Experience working with NoSQL or database development
