In this full-time position, the chosen candidate will focus on designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable platform services and shared libraries intended to boost system reliability, delivery speed, and developer productivity.
This role is well-suited for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys untangling complex problems, guiding software architecture choices, and mentoring junior or mid-level team members. Successful performance during the first year involves managing platform features from conception to production, establishing robust engineering practices, and contributing to continuous delivery workflows. Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain reliable platform services and shared libraries
- Contribute to architectural decisions emphasizing scalability, security, and developer experience
- Collaborate with peers and Staff Engineers to establish continuous delivery standards
- Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability obstacles across platform components
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews while offering constructive feedback
- Enhance operational monitoring, alerting procedures, and incident response workflows
- Investigate production issues to uncover root causes and implement lasting fixes
- Mentor junior and mid-level colleagues through code reviews, pairing, and technical advice
- Partner with cross-functional groups to deliver valuable business solutions
Requirements
- Possess seven to eight years of related software engineering experience alongside a bachelor degree, or a master degree with equivalent education and experience
- Demonstrated backend software development background
- Proficiency in Java, C#, C++, or comparable backend programming languages
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
- At least three years of experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining container-based applications
- Minimum of four years of experience utilizing cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Practical background in continuous delivery practices and automated deployment pipelines
- Working knowledge of secure development practices and distributed system security
Qualifications
- Experience working in the fintech or financial services sector
- Familiarity with distributed systems, shared platforms, developer productivity tools, or engineering ecosystem workflows
- Prior usage of artificial intelligence tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT to boost personal productivity
