Vested, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its early-stage engineering team. In this fully remote role, the selected candidate will focus on the development, scaling, and supporting infrastructure of vested.co, which is the company's core stock-option-funding and equity management platform. The position suits an individual with strong full-stack capabilities who wants to design user-facing features, shape technical architecture, and solve intricate challenges related to financial calculations and data integrations.
Working closely with design, product, and business departments, the engineer will take charge of end-to-end delivery from system design to production deployment. The employer operates as a distributed workplace with collaboration centered predominantly around the Eastern Time Zone, though personnel are located globally from Alaska to Europe.
Responsibilities
- Design and build user-facing features focused on equity management and compensation
- Manage projects through their entire lifecycle including system design, coding, testing, and production deployment
- Contribute to architectural decisions and define engineering best practices
- Partner with business, design, and product units to deliver user experiences
- Mentor other engineers and participate in building a collaborative engineering culture
- Resolve technical challenges regarding financial data calculations, system scaling, and integrations
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proven track record of shipping production software
- Full-stack proficiency with modern web technologies such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, and MongoDB
- Experience building frontend features, creating application programming interfaces, and modeling data relationships
