Job Description
GitLab is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect Operations Manager to build and refine the toolkit used by Solutions Architects. This person acts as the operational partner for the SA team, improving tools, procedures, reporting and handoffs across the customer lifecycle. Individual-contributor seniority applies here, with no staff reporting in; the reporting line runs to the Director, Customer Experience Operations.
Scope covers owning SA systems, workflows, procedures, reporting and documentation; collaborating with the Revenue Technology group, Revenue Analytics staff and system stewards on rollouts, verification, data integrity and controls; triaging requests about tools, permissions, assignments and data while identifying root causes; streamlining how SA engagements are requested, allocated and monitored; codifying intake requirements and routing logic agreed with SA leadership; automating manual steps; and writing down the engagement model, cadence, handoff criteria and the details needed at each customer stage.
The role also governs SA reporting and data quality, making the SA team's workload, involvement levels, technical-review status and results visible to leaders. It helps leaders plan staffing coverage and capacity, holds business reviews, keeps the operating rhythm steady, converts field feedback into fixes, and manages testing, rollout and documentation until changes are embedded.
