Karbon is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its globally distributed finance and accounting team. This remote role specifically requires the candidate to live in either Cebu or Manila. In this position, the Senior Staff Accountant will help scale the organization by building cross-functional partnerships and driving financial operations. Responsibilities span month-end close activities, cash management, accounts payable, vendor management, process enhancements, and internal controls. The role suits an organized, analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong problem-solving capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations
- Execute daily cash reconciliations and report financial metrics
- Process and code vendor invoices for accounts payable
- Serve as the primary contact for vendor onboarding
- Examine credit card statements and create related journal entries
- Process employee expense reports in alignment with travel and expense guidelines
- Gather documentation to support external financial audits and tax compliance
- Drive financial system and business process improvements
- Support internal control maintenance
- Partner with cross-functional teams on ad-hoc finance projects
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience
- Residency in Cebu or Manila
Qualifications
- Experience working in the high-tech SaaS industry
- Familiarity with NetSuite
