Netlify seeks a Senior Staff Data Scientist to join its distributed team on a full-time remote basis. In this role, you will take ownership of analytical performance across the product-led growth journey, shaping strategy for user activation, engagement, conversion, retention, and monetization. Netlify builds platforms for deploying and scaling modern web applications, serving millions of developers and enterprise organizations.
This autonomous position suits an analytical professional who enjoys proactive discovery, defining ambiguous problems, and operating as a key thought partner to leadership. You will guide product investments, design and evaluate experiments, and build scalable measurement systems utilizing AI tools to accelerate investigations.

Responsibilities
- Manage analytical performance across the entire product-led growth lifecycle including activation, engagement, conversion, monetization, and retention
- Partner with engineering and product leaders to translate behavioral insights into actionable test bets and success metrics
- Oversee experiment lifecycles from initial hypothesis and study design through execution, analysis, and final recommendations
- Develop scalable analytical assets such as semantic models, metrics layers, proactive monitoring, and AI-driven agents
- Identify and resolve instrumentation or measurement gaps across event tracking and metric definitions
- Advise leadership on roadmap priorities and investment decisions utilizing empirical evidence and product instincts
Requirements
- Bring over 8 years of professional background in growth analytics, product analytics, or data science
- Demonstrate a history of high ownership and measurable impact on product-led growth or consumer product outcomes
- Possess advanced expertise in experimentation, study design, statistical reasoning, and causal inference
- Utilize an AI-native working style to speed up investigations and automate repetitive analytical workflows
- Communicate complex technical findings clearly within a distributed, remote-first operational environment
