Job Description
This full-time, on-site Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer role in Voice AI is based in Hyderabad at ServiceNow's Advanced Technology Group. The engineer leads architecture and technical direction for the core voice platform, which covers audio capture, conversation management, speech generation, model integration and a voice harness.
The role also covers large agentic systems with strict latency and reliability targets, and it suits a technical leader with more than a decade of experience who can mentor staff and senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and technical direction for the core voice platform
- Design large-scale agentic systems covering orchestration, routing, tool calling and multi-agent workflows
- Own the design and delivery of voice distributed systems across regions and data centres
- Set engineering standards and turn operational lessons into platform tooling
Requirements
- Twelve or more years of relevant experience, including leading large cross-team initiatives
- At least five years designing and leading large agentic systems in production
- At least six years of development with Python, Go, Java or similar languages
- At least three years building LLM-based applications, including self-hosted model deployment
Qualifications
- Experience with real-time audio, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, telephony or WebRTC at scale
- Experience building software for compliance and security in regulated environments is an asset
- Experience building with AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and Windsurf
