Job Description
Liftoff operates a performance marketing platform serving the mobile app economy across multiple global sectors. The organization is currently building a novel e-commerce advertising ecosystem designed to direct mobile app users straight to merchant checkout pages. This senior individual-contributor position centers on taking that product through its beta phase toward general availability.
This role suits an experienced product leader capable of operating within an incubation setting from the ground up. The person in this position will establish business cases, direct experimentation roadmaps, shape identity frameworks, and steer attribution architecture. Working alongside a dedicated engineering group, machine learning specialists, and go-to-market teams, the product manager will manage unit economics, enforce traffic quality standards, and interface directly with enterprise clients and strategic industry partners.
The position requires deep expertise in digital attribution constraints, ad networks, and performance advertising landscapes. While the preferred candidate location is the Pacific Time Zone, the company allows full-time remote work across specific US states including California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and Washington, with periodic quarterly in-person team gatherings required. The position offers a base salary range spanning from USD 198,000 to USD 280,000 per year depending on geographical location and experience.
Responsibilities
- Define product strategy, quarterly targets, and performance metrics while presenting milestone updates to finance and executive leadership.
- Manage unit economics determining launch readiness, covering traffic efficiency, funnel metrics, and traffic quality.
- Collaborate with sales and go-to-market teams to shape customer profiles, onboard clients, and translate user feedback into product updates.
- Partner with engineering leads to direct experimentation roadmaps, interpret testing outcomes, and execute go or no-go decisions.
- Monitor full-funnel efficiency running from initial ad exposure through browser sessions, cart additions, and final purchases.
- Establish privacy rules, consent handling policies, and compliance procedures in coordination with legal counsel.
- Oversee integration workflows spanning pixels, server-side event delivery, catalog ingestion, and merchant setup flows.
Requirements
- Over 8 years of product management experience featuring substantial background in performance advertising products like demand-side platforms, ad networks, or measurement tools.
- Hands-on familiarity with web and mobile identity attribution, probabilistic matching, pixels, server-to-server postbacks, and browser privacy constraints.
- Demonstrated history of guiding a product from beta testing phase through to general availability, including making data-driven decisions to pivot or cancel projects.
- Experience navigating a zero-to-one incubation setting involving small pilots and hands-on customer management.
- Background in machine learning experimentation, including reading confidence intervals and making deployment calls under uncertainty.
- Cross-functional leadership experience spanning engineering, machine learning, go-to-market, sales engineering, creative, and finance teams.
Qualifications
- Experience working within the Shopify or e-commerce ecosystem, such as handling app approvals, customer privacy APIs, webhooks, or merchant tooling.
- Familiarity with server-side integrations like Meta CAPI or Google Enhanced Conversions.
- Knowledge of incrementality testing, multi-touch attribution, and marketing mix modeling.
- Executive-level financial fluency capable of building and defending a unit economics model under scrutiny.
