Job Description
Anduril Industries builds defense technology intended to upgrade the military capabilities of the United States and its partners. Its systems rely on Lattice OS, an AI-driven operating system that merges many data feeds into a live 3D command display. The company is hiring a full-time Senior Supplier Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical, which it internally calls Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Mechanical.
This cross-functional role is central to bringing the company's critical supplier base online. The engineer collaborates with manufacturing, quality, engineering and supply chain functions, and also directly with vendors, to bring designs into production. The goal is to qualify designs with suppliers and refine them for quality, efficiency and cost from early development through the full product life.
The engineer owns mechanical fabrication commodities and drives supplier production from new product introduction to volume output. Key tasks include assessing vendor capacity, plant layout and staffing before approval, commissioning new tooling and lines at supplier facilities, planning capacity increases and ramp-ups, and running statistical process control reviews. The engineer also backs supplier quality engineers, leads root-cause investigations with suppliers, and ensures corrective and preventive actions get closed. Process and layout improvements aim to bring down component cost, limit supply risk, cut defects and shorten cycle time. Travel for at least half of the working time is required.
Required education is a bachelor's degree in a technical area such as supply chain or engineering, six or more years in supplier quality and industrialization in manufacturing, and familiarity with mechanical fabrication, IPC standards, CAD and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Preferred qualifications include a mechanical or materials degree, experience in defense, aerospace, automotive or high-tech, knowledge of quality systems, and comfort with fast-paced start-up settings. Ability to hold a US TS clearance is listed as preferred. The base salary band is $146,000 to $194,000, and equity grants are included in most full-time offers.
