This remote role centers on designing, securing, automating, and continually improving a hybrid infrastructure spanning cloud, virtualized, and on-premises environments.
The position provides technical leadership across Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, AWS, VMware, endpoint management, and identity services. The chosen professional will act as an escalation point for complex incidents, lead modernization projects, and partner alongside security, engineering, and service desk groups to maintain reliable and secure technology operations.

Responsibilities
- Manage lifecycle health, standards, and technical direction for Windows infrastructure platforms
- Lead modernization initiatives across AWS, VMware, Windows, identity platforms, and endpoint management systems
- Serve as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and direct major incident response efforts
- Administer hybrid identity services, Group Policy, Active Directory, and Entra ID authentication
- Maintain VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi host components
- Support AWS infrastructure features such as IAM, EC2, networking, storage, and monitoring
- Drive audit remediation, access reviews, evidence collection, and security control enhancements
- Build automation tools utilizing PowerShell, Infrastructure as Code, APIs, and cloud-native utilities
- Produce infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams
- Mentor administrators, engineers, and support personnel through knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments as a Systems Engineer, senior technical resource, or Infrastructure Engineer
- Extensive background with Windows Server, Group Policy, Active Directory, Entra ID, and hybrid identity systems
- Advanced troubleshooting and administration skills in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
- Solid operational experience with AWS infrastructure including networking, IAM, and EC2
- Demonstrated history of leading infrastructure projects from design through deployment
- Background acting as a primary escalation resource during critical business outages
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
- Familiarity with vulnerability remediation, patch management, and regulatory compliance activities
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, and DHCP
- Capacity to join an on-call rotation and respond during major incidents
Qualifications
