Deliveroo is seeking a Senior Technical Programme Manager - Money to join its team in London on a full-time, hybrid basis. Operating as part of DoorDash following a recent combination of teams, the organization focuses on building a scalable global delivery network spanning consumers, merchants, and couriers. The Money organization oversees financial products and infrastructure, encompassing payment processing, payment methods, payouts, invoicing, financial ledgers, and regulatory compliance across Deliveroo, DoorDash, and Wolt.
In this role, the successful candidate will guide major engineering-wide initiatives, including the Invoicing Platform and Payment Instruments. Responsibilities involve collaborating closely with product, engineering, operations, and business leaders to deliver robust financial capabilities. The position suits an experienced professional who can navigate complex, cross-functional projects, analyze system architecture, and translate ambiguous challenges into clear execution strategies. Team members report to a London-based manager within the global Technical Program Management team.
Responsibilities
- Steer major strategic initiatives for the Money Domain by partnering with engineering, product leadership, and cross-functional partners
- Manage execution across multiple domains including consumer, merchant, courier, risk, accounting, and platform infrastructure
- Build a thorough understanding of financial system architecture, data flows, and integrations to evaluate scaling and reliability risks
- Clarify vague problems, map out execution paths, and drive alignment among diverse teams
- Align engineering efforts with merchant, partner, and economic outcomes to guide prioritization
Requirements
- Prior experience collaborating with engineering teams on large-scale distributed systems or B2B products
- Ability to articulate system architecture, scalability decisions, and design tradeoffs
- Strong leadership skills with the capacity to influence without authority across organizations
- Demonstrated ownership, urgency, and willingness to engage closely with project details
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with software development processes, project planning, and product development lifecycles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- At least five years of recent experience working as a Technical Programme Manager within a technology or FinTech company focused on Financial Systems
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in financial systems such as SOX or PSD2
