ELEKS seeks a remote Senior Test Automation Engineer (TS/JS), Claims Copilot to collaborate with a major reinsurance solutions provider. This high-visibility position focuses on Claims Copilot, an AI-native initiative delivering a unified claims experience for Commercial Risk customers across ten countries in its initial phase from September 2026 to March 2027. The project engages approximately 100 clients and over 1,000 users. Team members are expected to actively explore and demonstrate expertise in optimizing development workflows using AI tools.
The role operates within an Agile Scrum environment where processes are established on the client side, the Product Owner sits in Europe, and technical team members are located in the US, Argentina, Poland, and Ukraine. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using TypeScript and Playwright
- Develop and run automated tests covering both API and UI layers
- Utilize AI-assisted tools to speed up test case creation, automation engineering, code reviews, and defect analysis
- Create reusable automation elements for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Incorporate automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Work alongside developers and the scrum master to establish quality objectives and test strategies
- Evaluate test results and report on quality trends, risks, coverage, and defects
- Engage in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of test automation and QA experience
- At least two years of practical experience working with Playwright
- Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Demonstrated experience in constructing automation frameworks from scratch
- Experience performing UI and API test automation including JSON, REST, and integration testing
- Practical background using Azure DevOps for work management, pipeline integrations, and test planning
- Experience adding automated tests to CI/CD pipelines
- Solid Git capabilities including branching strategies
- Practical experience or strong motivation to adopt AI-assisted development tools like Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Claude
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency
Qualifications

- Background in security, accessibility, or performance testing
