The Job Sauce is hiring a Software Engineer - Alt to join the team working on alternative assets, beginning with the trading-card industry. Responsibilities
- Manage products and systems end to end, taking features from concept through architecture, implementation, and launch
- Develop backend logic and customer-facing interfaces for seller tools, discovery, account activity, and submission workflows
- Build reliable and performant systems handling real-time bidding, money movement, inventory workflows, and partner integrations
- Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to evaluate problems, make trade-offs, and measure business outcomes
- Design and implement tools, APIs, and automation supporting collectors, sellers, partners, and internal staff
- Own testing, instrumentation, and performance tracking using production feedback to continuously improve features
- Build AI-powered product features such as instant valuations, personalized discovery, and automated quality checks
- Deploy agents to monitor systems, triage exceptions, and process operational data into actionable next steps
- Elevate team standards through code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Experience building and scaling applications with backend fundamentals in Python, Postgres, and AWS or comparable infrastructure
- Frontend experience utilizing React, React Native, and TypeScript
- Demonstrated track record of turning ideas into working products or managing technical challenges with significant constraints
- Experience owning features or systems independently from design to production
- Habitual use of AI tools to prototype, build, iterate, and expand delivery capabilities
- Pragmatic approach to engineering with strong collaboration, documentation, and communication skills
Qualifications
- Background in high-concurrency bidding, real-time interfaces, personalization, or recommendation systems
- Experience with payment integrations, double-entry ledgers, reconciliation, or lending infrastructure
- Background in logistics, inventory management, imaging workflows, or enterprise APIs connecting software to physical operations
- Experience with experimentation, product analytics, attribution, or lifecycle infrastructure for growth
