MyFitnessPal is seeking a Software Engineer III, iOS to join its Cal AI engineering group. Responsibilities
- Partner with user interface and creative design specialists to build native mobile views aligned with iOS Human Interface Guidelines
- Analyze and optimize network traffic, data persistence, and UI performance to elevate the user experience
- Develop and ship robust features independently
- Investigate and execute technical strategies that satisfy business objectives for a growing user base
- Offer technical leadership regarding security, deployment, testing, and architecture
- Coach fellow engineering staff members to boost collective team performance
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary product engineering teams to resolve complex problems
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated background developing Swift-based applications for iOS within agile settings
- Proficiency in writing testable code alongside unit tests
- Familiarity with multithreading concepts
- Experience interacting with RESTful APIs
- Extensive team-based version control experience using Git
- Background working alongside relational databases
- Prior utilization of at least one package manager
- Some exposure to continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
Qualifications
- Prior background updating legacy codebases to current standards
- Familiarity with functional reactive programming tools such as Combine or RxSwift
- Experience developing with SwiftUI
