The company is hiring a remote Software Engineer, Integrations, based in Calgary or the United States, to oversee, build, and maintain data integration systems. This position centers on transforming data ingestion workflows, managing APIs, and creating scalable mechanisms to handle connections across various enterprise systems. The selected engineer will tackle performance challenges associated with large customer datasets, design native connections, and turn complex sync errors into actionable feedback for users and internal teams. The engineering environment includes Go APIs, Python transformation engines, Temporal workflows, and customer-facing frontends.

Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and manage integration platforms to ensure secure and reliable data flows
- Design, build, and optimize data ingestion workflows and pipelines
- Manage connectors and application programming interfaces while handling authentication, rate limits, pagination, and schema changes
- Provide ongoing support for integration performance and resolve cross-system issues
- Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineering and Implementation teams to support customer needs
- Establish documentation, patterns, and error-handling conventions for scaling integrations
Requirements
- Four or more years of experience building and shipping production software with strong backend fundamentals
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining integrations against third-party APIs including REST, SOAP, webhooks, and OAuth
- Experience with data pipelines, workflow orchestration, scheduling, retries, and monitoring
- Solid SQL skills with the ability to reason about data models and transformations
- Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, CRM, or ERP systems and associated data models
- Strong documentation habits and clear communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Legal authorization to work in Alberta without visa support and residency in Calgary for Canadian applicants
Qualifications
- Frontend experience with TypeScript or React
- Familiarity with iPaaS tools such as Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft, Tray.io, or Celigo
- Experience with workflow orchestration engines like Temporal or Airflow
- Background in file-based ingestion at scale including SFTP, CSV, and flat-file pipelines
- Experience working with sensitive employee or compensation data and related security practices
