UpGuard is expanding its Product Engineering team and hiring Software Engineers across multiple levels on a fully remote basis. The company builds a Cyber Risk Posture Management platform designed to replace manual security bottlenecks with AI-driven precision, processing billions of risk signals daily. In this role, engineers tackle high throughput, massive concurrency, and big data challenges while developing intelligent ways to present cybersecurity data to global customers.
This position is suited for technical professionals who enjoy collaborating within cross-functional teams to build customer-facing features end-to-end. Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver world-class products
- Take ownership of developing new customer-facing features from conception to completion
- Enhance overall system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Participate in code reviews, architectural decisions, and technical discussions
- Investigate the cybersecurity and internet domain to master its fundamentals
Requirements
- Bring four or more years of relevant engineering experience within product-driven and tech-centric companies
- Demonstrate proficiency in JavaScript, React, and web technologies
- Show proficiency with a backend language such as Go
- Possess experience working with relational databases like Postgres
- Demonstrate an interest in shaping product features that improve user experience and impact
- Make pragmatic trade-offs in software design and delivery to balance business and technical needs
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in the cybersecurity industry
- Familiarity with exploring new technologies like AI and LLMs to boost productivity and experience
- Ability to construct complex systems and applications from scratch alongside cross-functional peers
- Demonstrated care for user experience and building impactful customer products
- Familiarity with React, Go, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform
