Suvoda is seeking a Software Test Engineer II to join its organization. The company operates as a global clinical trial technology enterprise, building digital platforms that help clinical trial sponsors and site professionals manage logistical complexities in life-sustaining studies across therapeutic areas like oncology, rare diseases, and central nervous system research. Because supporting clinical trials involves high-stakes and dynamic experiments, staff must understand the clinical trial industry, related regulations, company software, and specific study details before taking actions that could alter system data.
This position suits individuals with an analytical mindset, a strong attention to detail, and a focus on operational processes. Professionals in this role ensure the correct functioning of clinical trial software, emphasizing patient safety and study data integrity. The job involves verifying requirements against clinical trial protocols, applying risk-based testing methodologies, managing validation deliverables, writing and executing test scripts, and tracking defects. Depending on the project, the person in this role may act as a Lead Project Tester to coordinate testing tasks, supervise daily tasks for assigned testing team members, act as the primary testing contact, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of new study builds.
Responsibilities
- Verify that software functions correctly to support patient safety and clinical study data integrity
- Check that requirements remain testable, clear, and aligned with clinical trial protocols
- Comply with company procedures and processes during all deliverables and activities
- Create validation plans utilizing a risk-based testing approach
- Manage and author validation-related deliverables for each project
- Write and run test scripts
- Record defects and follow up on their resolution
- Coordinate testing tasks on change controls or new study builds when serving as a Lead Project Tester
- Supervise the day-to-day work of assigned software testing team members on specific projects
- Act as the primary contact for testing questions and requests on assigned projects
- Deliver new study builds on schedule with an emphasis on risk management and quality
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a comparable capacity
- Experience performing web testing on software products
- Strong comprehension of testing principles and methodologies
- Possess an exploratory nature and high achievement drive
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and analytical reasoning capabilities
- Maintain a strong work ethic, sense of ownership, and proactive approach
- Exhibit effective time management, prioritization, and follow-through
- Possess strong communication abilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- Domain knowledge in eClinical
- Technical knowledge such as SQL, programming, or automation
