Moonshot is hiring a Smart Contract Engineer to join their fully remote team. Founded in 2024, Moonshot provides a mobile-first application utilized by over two million individuals to trade tokens, tokenized equities, and leveraged assets, having processed more than $4 billion in trading volume. All trading activity, automated selling, and fee processing occur entirely on-chain.
In this position, the engineer will direct the on-chain programs driving Moonshot trading products across Solana and EVM networks, shepherding each contract through the lifecycle from specification and auditing to production. This is an early-stage role on a compact team, requiring the successful candidate to push production code quickly, with a first deployment expected within the initial fortnight.
The ideal candidate is comfortable managing core trading programs encompassing order execution, fee routing, auto-sell mechanics, and token launches. The position suits individuals capable of debugging at the bytecode level, prioritizing rigorous testing and fuzzing, and collaborating closely with security auditors.
Responsibilities
- Manage core trading programs from specification through deployment and auditing, including order execution, fee routing, auto-sell, and token launches
- Design cross-chain and settlement paths alongside protocol engineers
- Build and maintain a comprehensive test suite utilizing Foundry, Anchor tests, and property-based fuzzing
- Collaborate directly with security auditors during each release cycle
Requirements
- Experience shipping production programs on Solana utilizing Anchor or on an EVM L2
- Ability to perform bytecode-level debugging
- Demonstrated delivery of at least one end-to-end cross-chain integration such as bridges, oracles, or settlement
- Familiarity with trading mechanics including transaction ordering, MEV, and slippage on Solana
