Job Description
RelationalAI builds decision intelligence software that gives large language models the logic and context of a business, drawing on each customer's structured data. Its approach combines Superalignment, relational knowledge graphs and in-house reasoning engines, and its team is spread around the world.
This Solution Engineer role works inside customer organisations on their toughest decisions, such as misplaced inventory, hidden risk pockets, fraud across several systems and capacity planning. The engineer sits down with leadership, subject experts and data staff, models the business in the company's ontology, frames the reasoning problem, writes PyRel, and delivers a system that runs on live data in the customer's own Snowflake account. The engineer owns results through production, including tuning, hardening and measuring impact.
The role also captures the workarounds and gaps found on each project, argues for the most useful ones, and helps turn them into product features. Autonomy, root-cause analysis and hands-on building are valued over slide-based consulting. The position is remote, with a base salary of USD 170,000 to 200,000 plus equity. Hiring includes a technical screen, a session on an unfamiliar system, a problem-breakdown exercise and an ownership interview.
Responsibilities
- Own outcomes from discovery and modelling through hardening and measurement
- Build decision systems with ontologies, rules, graph analytics, optimisation and predictive models
- Fix platform gaps for customers and push general fixes upstream
- Test feasibility via workshops, live demos and prototypes
- Send reproducible failures to product and document reusable reference builds
- Find root causes in customer environments rather than filing tickets
Requirements
- Five or more years shipping production software, partly in customer or partner settings
- Evidence of taking an unclear problem into production, including setbacks
- Strong SQL and experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks or Redshift
- Strong programming, mainly in Python, and the ability to read unfamiliar code
- Ability to speak credibly to senior business leaders and staff data engineers
- Comfort working autonomously in fast-changing settings
Qualifications
- Analytical or decision software that made it to production and kept running
- Work with optimisation, constraint solving, rule engines, graph methods or machine learning
- Experience with semantic modelling, pipelines and data governance
- Upstream contributions that became standard for other users
- Previous involvement with enterprise tech, AI or analytics platforms
Core Skills
Benefits
- Ability to work from anywhere, with open PTO
- Recharge weeks, global benefits and mental health support
- Learning stipends, offsites and global events
- Equity alongside salary
