FireMon is seeking a Solutions Architect to join the Customer Experience team on a full-time, remote basis. FireMon provides Network Security Policy Control for the Modern Enterprise, offering security teams a unified platform to observe, govern, and verify network policies across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. In this position, the Solutions Architect assists with evaluating business opportunities and developing strategies to resolve technical challenges throughout both the pre-sale buyer's journey and the post-sale customer journey. This role involves close collaboration with infrastructure specialists, security architects, and engineering personnel within client organizations to design effective, results-oriented solutions while building technical product knowledge with guidance from senior colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to process improvement and implementation methodologies to help customers achieve value quickly
- Provide thought leadership on API integration for managing and delivering customer automation and workflows
- Account for proposed decisions and act as an expert in executing those solutions
- Perform business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost-benefit analyses to align technical solutions with business goals
- Collaborate with users to define problems and determine suitable technical, application, or configuration solutions
- Develop, document, and manage requirements gathering alongside detailed designs and business processes through the project life cycle
- Review system test plans and test applications to guarantee successful test cycles
- Partner with end-users to select or create testing scenarios confirming solutions meet shared requirements
- Act as a functional and technical resource for the project team while estimating project level of effort and duration
- Establish best practices for architecture
Requirements
- At least five years of business analysis and consulting experience working with or inside large corporations on enterprise software implementation and change management
- At least five years of experience designing and implementing client-facing solutions
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with ServiceNow integration technologies such as SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, and FTPS
- Familiarity with programming languages like C++, Java, Python, or Perl
- Experience implementing solutions through API Management Platforms
- Experience in technology architecture and implementation on the ServiceNow platform
- Experience communicating solution recommendations to influence decision-makers
- Startup mentality with responsibilities for partner management
- Experience across all phases of the software development life cycle and Agile practices
- Ability to write design specifications and use charts and diagrams to illustrate ideas
- Experience with incident management, service request, problem management, change management, discovery, and configuration management databases
- Experience designing application deployments for public and hybrid cloud setups including AWS and Azure
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders across organizations
