Job Description
WNS Global Services, which now operates as part of Capgemini, presents itself as an AI-driven operations and transformation firm. It serves over 700 customers in 10 sectors and employs more than 66,000 people. The company is recruiting a full-time, remote Sourcing Manager on its procurement team, a role that requires fluency in German and English.
The Sourcing Manager sits inside a client-facing sourcing delivery group and owns projects from intake to completion. Work includes verifying incoming sourcing requests against the client's rules, studying requirements for bid packages, chasing requesters for missing details, and issuing bid packages to chosen suppliers. The manager pushes suppliers to take part, reviews and condenses their proposals, organizes supplier scoring and helps decision-makers choose. The role covers RFP, RFI and RFQ work under agreed service levels, with seven to twelve simple or intermediate projects handled at once.
Other tasks include applying category strategy cards and internal reference material to decide which vendors to approach and how to request quotes, searching for new suppliers, and presenting digestible proposal summaries to clients. The manager also backs colleagues on RFx drafting, NDA administration, spend analysis and summaries, reviews peers' projects for quality and adherence to standard procurement practice, and sometimes supports supplier performance tracking or contract administration.
The best fit holds a bachelor's degree in any discipline and brings five to seven years of background in operations, buying, sourcing or service desk work. Both German and English must be at C1 to C2 level. Persuasive negotiation, stakeholder handling and clear communication are essential, as is familiarity with one to three purchasing categories, including cost models and vendor landscapes. The candidate should also draft polished client-facing material and tackle problems independently using a structured approach. The posting does not state a salary.
