Step Up For Students is seeking a remote Specialist, Provider Relations to join its team on a full-time basis. In this role, the incumbent will act as a primary connection point among educational providers, schools, and Florida scholarship program stakeholders. The organization focuses on uniting communities to deliver scholarships that give families access to appropriate learning options and resources for their children.
This position is well-suited for professionals with strong communication and relationship-management abilities who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Key duties involve managing day-to-day provider interactions, supporting onboarding processes, helping partner schools enroll students, and investigating invoice inquiries. The specialist will also maintain data integrity and regulatory compliance while reporting directly to the Manager, Provider Relations.
Candidates must possess computer literacy, office experience, and a customer service background. The interview process includes identity verification, multiple video interviews with recruiters and leadership, and a panel interview.
Responsibilities
- Verify that educational providers are approved and compliant with appropriate agencies for scholarship programs
- Assist with onboarding activities for all providers
- Support partner schools during the enrollment of Step Up students
- Research payment and invoice questions while navigating application periods
- Collaborate with outward-facing departments and partner agencies like the Department of Education
- Build and maintain internal and external working relationships
- Participate in outbound calling projects and special projects such as AUP
- Take part in regular feedback sessions and coaching with supervisors
- Perform occasional community outreach events or school visits
Requirements
- Two or more years of customer service experience
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance depending on duties
- Ability to lift up to fifteen pounds
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- College degree preferred
- Two years of experience working in an office setting
- Military service substitution accepted for professional experience or education requirements
