Job Description
Formerly known as MHA-NYC, Vibrant Emotional Health offers tech-based services, wellness initiatives and advocacy work. This remote, full-time Quality Improvement Specialist role supports the quality work for the 988 Lifeline network of crisis centers. The specialist reports to the QI Manager, works Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern, and is paid $27.47 to $50.49 per hour.
The specialist helps build and launch a structured quality improvement plan across many crisis centers and checks that internal QI efforts meet funder and agency expectations. Duties include preparing outcome and quality reports for funders, boards and committees, reviewing performance to suggest improvements, and helping run recurring QI meetings on outcomes and key metrics. The role also works with other departments on proactive steps that keep centers compliant with Lifeline standards, looks into complaints and grievances, gathers data and produces reports with charts and graphs.
Applicants must hold a bachelor's; a master's in a health or social field is a plus. Experience at a crisis line or a passion for mental health and suicide prevention counts for a lot, and nonprofit background helps. Candidates should be capable analysts who can solve problems, use Microsoft Office and Google Suite at an intermediate to advanced level, and present confidently. Video calls are frequent, and most of the work happens at a computer.
