This position focuses on the financial administration of clinical research trials sponsored by the organization. The person in this role will handle confidential disclosure agreements, formulate and negotiate clinical trial site budgets, and oversee site payment workflows from initiation to study conclusion. Daily responsibilities involve collaborating closely with internal legal, finance, and clinical departments to track milestones, maintain databases, support audits, and refine financial procedures.

Candidates must note that this position requires working on-site at the corporate headquarters in New York City three days each week—specifically Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday—and fully remote applicants cannot be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the review, processing, and execution of clinical disclosure agreements and related documents in coordination with the legal department
  • Formulate and negotiate financial budgets, terms, and site contacts for assigned clinical research studies
  • Maintain tracking systems, master budgets, contract databases, and workflow logs for active trials
  • Oversee the site payment lifecycle, handle payment queries, and support expense reporting and accrual tracking
  • Assist the finance team through audit processes and contribute to efficiency improvements for financial system tools

Requirements

  • One to three years of total work background within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or clinical research sectors
  • One to two years of direct experience negotiating clinical trial budgets
  • Advanced spreadsheet proficiency and strong data manipulation capabilities for building large analytical reports
  • Availability to work on-site in New York City on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited academic institution
  • Familiarity with clinical trials and Good Clinical Practice standards
  • Prior use of project administration tools such as Smartsheet
  • Past interaction with data processing applications like Power BI
