Job Description
CannonDesign is an architecture and engineering practice that blends strategy, design, engineering and social impact work. This Specifications Coordinator II role backs project teams by making sure the designers' intent is written into project manuals that meet performance, regulatory and client requirements. The coordinator works with architects, engineers and consultants across disciplines to sharpen clarity, reduce project risk and support code compliance.
Day to day, the coordinator builds and organizes project manuals for several jobs at once. That means configuring projects in the Specpoint tool, inviting project teams, and setting export options. The coordinator makes sure manuals are formatted and packaged correctly alongside the specification writer, and runs quality checks on finished manuals. Deadlines and deliverable expectations are communicated early to internal teams and outside consultants, statuses are kept current in the specification app, and the coordinator attends a weekly meeting on specification workload.
The position calls for a working knowledge of what each design phase requires, from schematic design through construction documents, and a general sense of Division 01 specifications. The coordinator manages their own time, works without close supervision, and double-checks both their own output and that of colleagues.
The posted salary range is USD 46,000 to 57,500 per year. The opening can be staffed from any US location, with candidates who can work from one of the firm's offices possibly favored.
