Responsibilities

  • Utilize AI coding assistants throughout the development lifecycle for code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and review.
  • Build and maintain effective system instructions, prompts, reusable skills, and context to ensure reliable AI outputs.
  • Design and orchestrate multi-agent workflows involving task decomposition, tool use, agent hand-offs, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
  • Connect AI agents to internal systems, databases, and APIs via function calling or MCP.
  • Evaluate AI output for accuracy, latency, cost, and regression to refine workflows.
  • Apply safeguards for data privacy, security, and hallucination risks involving school or customer data.
  • Identify and prototype AI applications for development and data migration while coaching colleagues on best practices.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable T-SQL solutions and tools for data cleansing, migration, and reconciliation.
  • Provide performance-tuning expertise for internal and third-party systems using AI tooling.
  • Define technical requirements alongside non-technical team members and third parties.
  • Manage SQL Server database environments for data migration, including backup and recovery in test settings.
  • Prepare and expose data safely for AI workflows while utilizing AI for query generation, review, and optimization.

Requirements

  • Practical experience using AI coding assistants supported by concrete examples
  • Strong prompting skills with demonstrable experience in workflows or agents built
  • Substantial SQL programming experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or later techniques and capabilities
  • Strong grounding in data management, data modeling, and data manipulation
  • Experience with Git and version control
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills

Qualifications

  • Experience building agents or multi-agent workflows using Claude Code, MCP, or similar frameworks
  • Familiarity with LLM APIs, prompt testing, and evaluation approaches
  • Scripting or programming experience in Python or a similar language
  • Awareness of AI security and data protection considerations
  • Reasonable understanding of networking, infrastructure, and operating systems
