Job Description
Elastic's India finance team wants a senior-level FP&A specialist to plan, report and analyze for the company's global finance function. The position is on-site in India. The analyst serves as a go-to resource for business and functional leaders and uses AI to make finance processes faster and sharper, going beyond routine reporting.
Output includes leadership reporting packs, scorecards and models, plus dashboards in Tableau, Sigma or similar products that emphasize near-real-time data. The analyst builds rolling forecasts, annual budgets and monthly budget-versus-actual reviews in Pigment, tracks KPIs and writes variance commentary. The role also covers period-end tasks at each month and quarter, such as accruals, manual journal entries, variance work and supporting schedules.
The analyst leads efforts to rethink FP&A workflows using Microsoft Copilot, Claude and Gemini alongside Excel. That includes proposing and rolling out new software, coaching peers on automation, and reviewing AI-generated conclusions before leaders see them. Reconciling information among Adaptive, Pigment, Workday and NetSuite keeps everyone working from one trusted set of figures.
Responsibilities
- Produce management reporting packs, scorecards and models that leaders rely on
- Maintain near-real-time dashboards in Tableau, Sigma or comparable products
- Build rolling forecasts, annual budgets and monthly budget-to-actual analysis in Pigment
- Track KPIs, surface trends and write clear variance commentary
- Run period-end close cycles at month and quarter, covering accruals, journal entries and schedules
- Reconcile records among Adaptive, Pigment, Workday and NetSuite
- Use AI tools to speed up commentary, financial narratives and report production
Requirements
- Five to eight years in finance work, including exposure to transformation, process redesign or finance automation
- Active, hands-on use of AI assistants in finance work
- Able to make complex financial topics clear to non-finance audiences at every level
- Comfortable collaborating with colleagues across regions and time zones
- Detail-oriented and dependable in a fast-moving setting
- Spots manual, repetitive tasks and proposes better methods
Qualifications
- CA, MBA or CMA credential (preferred)
- Pigment, Adaptive or NetSuite know-how (a strong plus)
- Experience teaching peers to automate work and adopt new tools
