Job Description
Elastic is hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst to act as a strategic link between IT and the business, focused on the Services and Education organizations. The job is full-time, on-site and based in the United States. This person shapes, tunes and supports the business processes and architecture of Certinia (formerly FinancialForce) PSA running on Salesforce, which helps the Services group price, sell, deliver and administer engagements faster.
Much of the work is requirements. The analyst gathers business needs, turns them into clear functional requirements, owns feature design and documentation, and runs end-user testing for enhancements and projects. Working with the strategy and operations staff in Services and Education, the analyst applies design thinking to PSA improvements, scopes enhancements and keeps the system maintained.
The analyst maintains records of configuration, field mapping, functional specifications, test scripts and training content, and validates software quality through functional testing. Defect fixes alongside engineers are routine, and so is building decks that contrast how PSA works today with the planned future state. The analyst also anticipates how configuration and reporting changes will affect users, and plans a technology roadmap that balances near-term priorities with future scale.
The ideal candidate has several years of Salesforce business systems analysis, hands-on Certinia PSA experience, and knowledge of project and resource management, time-and-expense, billing and revenue recognition. CPQ and quote-to-cash familiarity is valued, and so is the ability to define integration requirements with boundary systems such as NetSuite.
