Job Description
Link Snacks, the meat snack maker behind Jack Link's and BiFi, is looking for a Senior Customer Development Manager for its military business. The person in this role owns the sales plan for major government and military retail accounts, among them DeCA and AAFES plus NEXCOM, MCX and CGX. The position suits someone who understands how the military resale channel operates and can build trust with buyers and brokers while raising brand visibility and sales volume.
Results are judged on unit volume, net dollars and share of category for the firm's items in the military channel. Duties include managing direct contact with military and government buyers, supervising broker partners, and building joint business plans that win distribution and promotional support. The manager also trains the broker network, drafts one-to-three-year customer plans by segment, and coordinates with demand planning, revenue management and sales strategy colleagues.
Routine work involves planning distribution, shelving, merchandising and pricing; studying customer data to set action steps; presenting to customer leaders; and resolving deductions and receivables. Clear communication with internal staff and customers, and relationships at multiple levels of each customer organization, are expected.
The position is remote with a preference for candidates in the Dallas, Texas area and requires roughly 30 to 40 percent travel. The posted pay range is USD 140,000 to 170,000 a year, and total rewards may include annual incentives and program awards.
