Job Description
Elastic's Corporate Marketing group puts on events that present the company as a counselor to very large organizations. This full-time, on-site Senior Manager job oversees the company's collection of third-party conferences, tradeshows and partner gatherings. The posting places the role in North America and gives priority to candidates in the United States.
The manager maps out a multi-year approach to Elastic's appearances at outside events, deciding where to spend, which sponsorship level to buy and the reasoning behind each choice. Every sponsorship must earn its spot. The manager handles each step, from weighing sponsorship options and negotiating contracts through booth construction, on-site operations and the review that follows.
Working with agencies, exhibit builders and service firms is a big piece. The manager negotiates terms with Procurement and secures clearance from InfoSec and privacy reviewers. Financial control also falls to this role: building the annual third-party events budget, setting measurable goals before each show, and following returns and audience engagement to shape future spending.
Since event activity should produce sales opportunities, the manager lines up marketing, field sales and SDR colleagues so that booths and sessions create pipeline. Contingency planning for issues such as venue changes or logistics trouble is expected. The ideal candidate has more than ten years in B2B event marketing, is comfortable presenting investment logic to senior leaders, and can handle up to 40% travel while managing a remote calendar.
