INflow Federal is seeking a Sr Platform Engineer for its GitLab practice to deliver GitLab-scoped engagements for enterprise and public sector clients. As part of a subcontracting partnership with GitLab, the engineer works alongside the GitLab Professional Services team following defined statements of work. The position involves managing enterprise GitLab environments, executing platform migrations, building CI/CD pipelines, and deploying the GitLab Duo Agent Platform.
This remote, full-time role pays between $150,000 and $250,000 per year, depending on experience and location. Candidates must hold an active Department of Defense Secret clearance at the time of application, with Top Secret preferred. The role suits experienced platform and DevOps professionals with strong consulting instincts and a willingness to travel to customer sites when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Administer GitLab Self-Managed and Dedicated environments including installations, upgrades, backups, user management, and performance tuning
- Lead enterprise migrations into GitLab from platforms such as GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or SVN using Congregate and direct transfer
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines with integrated security scanning and compliance frameworks
- Configure and roll out the GitLab Duo Agent Platform by building custom agents and enabling AI-assisted workflows
- Deliver customer-facing advisory services, documentation, knowledge transfer, and lead workshops and cutovers
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of hands-on experience in platform engineering or DevOps
- Production experience with GitLab administration in Self-Managed or Dedicated environments
- Experience designing, running, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines at an enterprise scale
- Active DoD Secret security clearance held directly at the time of application
Qualifications
- Active GitLab certifications such as GitLab Certified Associate, Professional, or Services Engineer
- Production experience with Kubernetes and Terraform
- Background using AWS, GCP, or Azure within a DevSecOps context
- Prior work history on federal, defense, or intelligence community programs
- Familiarity with GitLab Duo, agentic AI, security scanning toolchains, STIG compliance, or cATO frameworks
- Top Secret security clearance
