Working alongside engineering, product, and infrastructure colleagues, the person in this role will build reliable test frameworks, evaluate system behavior, and participate in troubleshooting client-facing production issues. Responsibilities
- Manage test automation and quality assurance workflows across all stages from project kickoff through release and ongoing maintenance
- Develop unit, component, API, and browser tests tailored to specific risk levels
- Construct repeatable test fixtures and isolated data to check workflow behavior and database integrity
- Collaborate with developers and product managers on testability, acceptance criteria, and testing practices
- Troubleshoot continuous integration failures, refine unstable tests, and track coverage and risk metrics
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools while independently verifying generated code and assertions
- Monitor system health and convert production problems into regression coverage
Requirements
- Demonstrated senior-level background in software engineering or test automation
- Practical experience working with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React applications
- Familiarity with modern testing frameworks such as Jest or Playwright
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries to investigate data issues and check persisted behavior in databases like PostgreSQL
- Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted development and verification methods
