United-Biosource-Corporation seeks a Sr. Reimbursement Specialist for a fixed-term contract position. This remote role runs from November 16, 2026, through February 27, 2027, to support the annual re-verification season. The employer delivers support services across the drug development and commercialization lifecycle.
The person in this position focuses on conducting outbound insurance calls for Pharmacy Benefit Manager and Medical Management verifications without taking inbound calls. Responsibilities include running benefit investigations, obtaining prior authorizations and recertifications, keeping data accurate in the client database, coordinating product shipments and therapy initiation, and participating in call center activities. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST with no shift flexibility, and scheduled time off cannot be taken during the contract.
Responsibilities
- Conduct benefit investigations and verify insurance coverage for patients and medical offices
- Submit and secure prior authorizations and recertifications as requested by payers
- Input and maintain data within client databases and patient records
- Monitor outstanding items on case files and coordinate therapy initiation with pharmacies and patients
- Handle incoming calls and triage inquiries from patients, insurers, prescribers, and sales representatives
- Identify and forward adverse events and product quality complaints to the appropriate team members
Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Have four to six years of experience in the insurance, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sectors in customer service or reimbursement
- Maintain a HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable high-speed internet for remote work
- Be available for the fixed-term schedule from Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST
Qualifications
- Experience with health insurance claims or patient accounting
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications along with database familiarity
- Familiarity with third-party billing, medical terminology, coding, prior authorizations, and appeals
