Job Description

PointClickCare is hiring a Senior Talent Development Partner on a full-time basis. The posting is labelled hybrid but names no work location. The partner runs the talent development programme for assigned business functions and helps each function reach its objectives and key results through learning and performance solutions delivered in several formats.

The role begins with partnership. The partner collaborates with HR partners and executives to rank learning priorities, run skills assessments and suggest solutions for knowledge gaps and performance issues. Ongoing contact with teams across the company keeps learning content accurate and aligned with business needs.

Much of the work is instructional design. The partner designs, builds and maintains e-learning, instructor-led sessions, performance-support resources and other materials, timed to match business targets and product release schedules. The job calls for modern instructional methods, a wide range of learning technologies, and scripts and storyboards that hold learners' interest.

The partner manages projects end to end, leads larger efforts with several contributors, and plans bespoke off-sites and workshops for team building, strategy and leadership growth. Learning results are tracked for quality, satisfaction and impact, and materials are kept current with trends and standards.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical, collaborative and influencing skills, advanced project management and prioritisation ability, and experience creating multi-channel learning in line with adult learning theory. Preferred extras include advanced visual design skill, ten or more years in adult learning, certifications such as CTDP or CPTD, Learning Guild membership, and a degree in an education-related field.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR colleagues and senior executives to rank learning needs and recommend remedies
  • Keep close ties with teams across the company to understand their goals and verify content accuracy
  • Design, develop and maintain e-learning courses, live and recorded classes, performance tools and other materials
  • Schedule curriculum work around business goals and product release timing
  • Create storyboards, scripts and supporting materials that engage learners
  • Oversee instructional design projects from start to finish, including larger multi-person initiatives
  • Plan and run bespoke off-sites, workshops and learning events for teams and leaders
  • Track learning quality, satisfaction and impact measures and refine content accordingly
  • Stay informed on learning trends, standards and good practice

Requirements

  • Strong analysis, collaboration, interpersonal and influence skills
  • Advanced ability to juggle tasks, set priorities, organise work, manage risk, plan and run projects
  • Skill in diagnosing performance problems from a whole-system view, finding root causes and proposing learning remedies
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building multi-channel learning, such as in-person, e-learning, live or self-paced online, role-play, simulations, video, job aids and blended formats, grounded in adult learning theory and design methods

Qualifications

  • Advanced visual design skill
  • Ten or more years in adult learning and in building interactive or blended programmes
  • CTDP or CPTD credentials, membership of The Learning Guild, or similar
  • Bachelor's or higher in learning design, education technology or a closely related discipline
