In this role, the professional will manage accounts payable, core general ledger functions, periodic closing procedures, and regulatory compliance tasks. This position offers a direct developmental pathway toward a Senior Accountant trajectory.

The successful candidate will handle journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cash transactions, and fixed asset accounting. Responsibilities also include participating in external audits, maintaining internal controls, and utilizing artificial intelligence tools like Claude or Gemenia for daily tasks. Collaboration with the financial planning and analysis team, as well as other internal groups, is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries for prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles
  • Process daily cash transactions, execute bank reconciliations, and handle related inquiries
  • Manage fixed asset accounting including additions, depreciation schedules, and disposals
  • Oversee end-to-end accounts payable and support expense-related tasks
  • Maintain internal controls and assist with documentation
  • Prepare schedules and furnish support for internal reviews and external audits
  • Identify methods to streamline and automate routine accounting workflows
  • Leverage artificial intelligence and large language models for day-to-day operations
  • Partner cross-functionally with financial planning and analysis and accounting peers on ad hoc requests

Requirements

  • Four to six years of relevant accounting experience in public accounting or industry settings
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and general ledger accounting
  • Experience using enterprise resource planning systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet applications
  • Familiarity with expense software like Brex, Expensify, or Navan
  • Familiarity with tax software such as Anrok or Avalara
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Prior exposure to international accounting and IFRS reporting standards
