Responsibilities
- Design and construct secure, highly available, and scalable AWS infrastructure centered on automation, uptime, and reliability
- Collaborate with developers on architecture choices to enhance server and application performance, scalability, security, and reliability
- Address security vulnerabilities early and improve overall cybersecurity readiness
- Handle on-call troubleshooting as part of a weekly rotation and lead Root Cause Analysis sessions for resolved incidents
- Develop internal tools and automation systems for engineering teams
- Mentor DevOps personnel across the organization
- Incorporate artificial intelligence into service reliability engineering and DevOps operations
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Operations, SRE, or DevOps roles, including system design and architecture work
- Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail
- Experience managing multi-account setups, permission structures, and SSO
- Engineer-level networking, security, and load balancing knowledge
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code within a team environment
- Experience utilizing build and deployment automation tools alongside CI/CD pipelines like GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, or GitOps
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring platforms including DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex production incidents and lead lasting technical fixes through Root Cause Analysis
- Competency reading JavaScript, Python, Java, Ruby, Bash or Zsh, and HCL
Qualifications
- Experience with Layer 7 load balancing
- Background in container orchestration using EKS or ECS
- Familiarity with configuration management systems such as Chef or Puppet
- Prior exposure to SOC2 compliance processes
