This full-time Staff Engineer 1 role in Bengaluru works on agentic AI built on Salesforce for InMobi's go-to-market engineering group. That group runs a Salesforce footprint covering Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce and Experience Cloud, uses Slack as a working layer, and maintains a middleware platform on Apache Camel and Java for event-driven integrations.
The post mixes architecture with hands-on engineering. The engineer mentors colleagues, leads technical design and delivery of AI-driven features on Salesforce, and links the CRM core to customer-facing product experiences. Work includes Agentforce orchestration, prompt templates, Data Cloud integration, Apex and Lightning Web Components, and the integration layers that serve revenue and growth teams.
Integration design covers platform events, change data capture and REST and SOAP interfaces, with the aim of keeping CRM data trustworthy and auditable for AI agents. The engineer also builds distributed backend services that sync data in real time through streaming tools such as Kafka or Spark, and pushes DevOps habits such as Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
Required experience includes 10 or more years building enterprise software with scalable, CRM-connected designs, two to three years working hands-on with Agentforce, Data Cloud and GCP or Azure, and deep Salesforce architecture skills. Strong Java or Python for middleware using Apache Camel or MuleSoft, along with data security and governance knowledge, is expected. Prior work at ad-tech or high-volume B2B SaaS companies is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical solutioning for agentic AI projects on the Salesforce platform
- Design, build and deploy Salesforce solutions, including Agentforce orchestration and Data Cloud integration
- Design large-scale integrations using platform events, change data capture and REST or SOAP APIs
- Build features that connect Salesforce data with downstream AI agents, with observability and auditability
- Architect and scale distributed systems for real-time sync using Kafka, Spark or similar tools
- Write testable, high-performance Java middleware that connects the CRM layer with cloud services
- Champion DevOps practices and mentor engineers on code quality
Requirements
- At least a decade building enterprise software with scalable, CRM-connected architectures
- Two to three years working directly with Agentforce, Data Cloud and GCP or Azure
- Deep Salesforce architecture skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components, data modelling and high-volume processing
- Experience with Platform Events, change data capture and complex REST or SOAP integrations
- Comfort writing middleware in Java or Python with Apache Camel or MuleSoft
- Experience with Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Knowledge of Salesforce data security and governance for agent auditability and compliance
Qualifications
- Background at ad-tech firms or large B2B SaaS businesses is valued
- Track record shipping agentic AI features for business systems
- Familiarity with Media Cloud, OMS or Revenue Cloud on Salesforce
- Familiarity with LLM evaluation, agent observability or RAG pipeline design
