The organization is currently hiring a remote Staff-level Machine Learning Engineer to join the Ads Ranking Org specifically within the App Ads Modeling team.
This position focuses on advancing ad ranking capabilities through sophisticated model architectures, contextual embeddings, and conversion-optimized modeling. Ideal applicants will bring extensive experience in end-to-end modeling alongside a thorough grasp of modern deep learning methodologies. The person in this role will build advanced machine learning models, refine feature pipelines, and define the long-term modeling trajectory across several specialized domains. Responsibilities
- Design and train advanced machine learning models such as deep neural networks and transformers for ad ranking
- Develop and refine features that incorporate contextual signals, embeddings, and cross-session user behavior
- Partner closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams to oversee end-to-end model deployment and performance review
- Mentor other machine learning engineers and share modeling best practices across the organization
- Define the long-term modeling direction across domains including conversion, shopping, app ads, and brand advertising
Requirements
- Seven or more years of overall industry experience with a substantial background in applied machine learning roles
- Demonstrated expertise using deep learning architectures and standard machine learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow
- Solid background working within ads ranking, recommendation systems, or related performance-driven domains
- Hands-on experience handling complex feature pipelines and large-scale datasets
- Strong experimental and problem-solving abilities along with a history of delivering high-impact production models
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art models for advertising or recommendation systems alongside an understanding of relevant funnels
Qualifications
- Direct background in app ads, conversion modeling, or brand and performance advertising
- Experience working inside ad marketplaces at peer organizations
