The risk team applies a unique methodology to portfolio management, risk oversight, and community member interactions. As a Staff Risk Analyst, you will leverage analytics, experimentation, and data science to transform data into actionable insights supporting company growth. This position oversees risk analytics centered on credit risk management, focusing particularly on member retention, limit and maximum policies, and forecasting.
This opportunity suits an experienced analytical professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and enjoys cross-functional collaboration. Candidates will work closely with product, engineering, machine learning, and operations units to translate data into implemented product and policy updates.
Responsibilities
- Manage member credit limit policies by balancing risk exposure, churn, and retention
- Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and policy experiments to drive concrete policy adjustments
- Oversee reporting and forecasting infrastructure to maintain portfolio and risk performance visibility
- Explore data proactively to refine risk management approaches and detect emerging risk trends
- Establish performance metrics and construct dashboards to track portfolio and policy outcomes
- Collaborate with Machine Learning, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to implement policy and product changes
- Partner with the Machine Learning group throughout the model development lifecycle to inform model creation
- Observe production models over time to track stability, performance, and identify degradation
- Work with Product to understand customer feedback and design risk policies centered on the user experience
Requirements
- Seven or more years of professional background in a credit risk strategy, decision science, or credit risk analytics function
- Advanced proficiency in SQL alongside comfort using Python for experimentation and analysis
- Familiarity with fintech risk principles, including portfolio monitoring, limit or max policies, and risk strategy creation
- Demonstrated ability in designing and evaluating policy experiments or A/B tests
- Experience working with curve-based or forecasting modeling such as usage, loss, or cash flow forecasts
