Aledade PBC seeks a Staff Security Engineer to design, build, and maintain security services that support the organization. This remote-first position involves shaping security service strategies, deploying advanced controls to protect networks and systems, and mentoring incoming engineers. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security services supporting company operations
- Partner cross-functionally to shape security service strategy and execution
- Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive security solutions
- Deploy advanced security controls to safeguard applications, networks, and systems
- Mentor and support new engineering staff
- Establish and uphold standards for high-quality engineering security processes
Requirements
- Eight years of experience in software or security engineering within cloud-native environments
- Experience leading architectural design for hybrid-cloud ingress and egress inspection pipelines
- Experience deploying, configuring, and tuning Deep Packet Inspection, SSL/TLS inspection, and threat detection across Zscaler and AWS
- Experience securing edge endpoints using Web Application Firewalls through Cloudflare and AWS
- Experience integrating Cloud Access Security Broker capabilities and Data Loss Prevention engines
- Experience automating cloud network infrastructure and security policy enforcement using Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation
- Experience managing network configuration drift detection and automated remediation workflows through CI/CD pipelines
- Experience operationalizing network observability by orchestrating flow log ingestion into SIEM platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
