Job Description

The organization is currently seeking a full-time Staff Software Developer to join the engineering, product, and design group. In this hands-on role, the selected candidate will focus heavily on user experience, interaction design, and frontend craftsmanship within a long-standing Ruby on Rails monolithic application.
The position requires an individual who enjoys close collaboration, working alongside designers and product managers in various pairing, trio, and solo configurations. Day-to-day work involves building new features, improving workflows, leading frontend patterns, mentoring colleagues, and maintaining code quality while balancing operational urgency in the crowdfunding sector. The team utilizes tools like Claude Code, practices test-driven development, and iterates quickly in weekly cycles.
This opportunity suits an experienced product engineer who prefers cohesive Ruby on Rails applications over decoupled single-page architectures, values strong user interface fundamentals, and is curious about exploring team workflows in an AI-assisted environment. The role reports to the Director of Engineering, Product, and Design and collaborates directly with leadership.

- Participate in team rotations including on-call duties, pull request reviews, and meeting hosting
Requirements
- Deep background in constructing high-quality user interfaces with recent hands-on coding experience
- Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser behavior
- Comfort working directly inside Ruby on Rails views, helpers, and partials
